Field Technician - Columbus
About The Position
Allied Technical Services is looking for dependable, mechanically inclined individuals to join our team as Field Service Technicians. Pump industry experience is not required, but it’s a plus if you have it. If you’ve worked in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, maintenance, farming, automotive, military, or another hands-on role, we’ll provide the training. In this role, you’ll work with pumps, hoses, piping systems, and equipment that support municipal, industrial, and construction projects throughout Central Ohio. Allied Technical Services is a family‑owned company specializing in industrial and municipal pumping equipment, including installation, maintenance, and emergency response. Requirements
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience using tools, equipment, or machinery
- Ability to work outdoors safely
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Pump industry experience is not required, but it’s a plus if you have it.
Responsibilities
- Set up pumps, hoses, and temporary piping systems at customer job sites
- Load and unload equipment
- Inspect and maintain pumps and related equipment
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and similar equipment; training available
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Travel to job sites throughout Central Ohio
Benefits
- Starting pay at $19/hour
- $3,000 sign-on bonus available for rental positions, paid in installments: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 at 6 months, and $1,500 after 1 year
