This position involves performing concrete testing such as slump, air content, and temperature testing, as well as casting cylinders. The role also includes preparing soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt in both laboratory and field settings. The Field Technician is responsible for adhering to the QA Manual and other applicable procedures. Excellent communication skills are essential for maintaining positive relationships with clients, customers, and coworkers. The job requires a working knowledge of Word and Excel. Responsibilities may extend to assisting with scheduling and processing shipments and deliveries. Field site assistance may also be required, including securing and transporting testing samples, observing field activities, and assisting with inspections as defined by the project scope. The role involves assisting with field team logistics, such as picking up and transporting equipment and samples, which includes lifting items up to 50 pounds. Domestic travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
