About The Position

ERM is hiring Field Technicians to join our global consulting firm as part of our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Whitehorse/Mayo, YT. The successful candidate will work with our team to complete archaeological field surveys. This is a full-time, limited-term role for a duration of 3 months, renewable. Requirements

  • 0-3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
  • Working knowledge of archaeological survey and impact assessment protocols
  • Ability to work 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation
  • Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • A Degree in Anthropology (with a focus in archaeology) or in Archaeology preferred
  • Applicants enrolled in a degree granting university who have completed a field school in archaeology are encouraged to apply
  • Prior archaeological field school experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participating in survey and shovel testing
  • Assisting an ERM Archaeologist with data collection
  • Working in a team environment to meet productivity and safety goals
