About The Position

Sparus Holdings is seeking a Field Technician to join their team in Charleston. This role involves using the latest safety equipment to accurately detect gas leaks and analyze data. After training, technicians work independently, demonstrating time management and problem-solving skills. The position involves working outdoors, typically walking 5+ miles per day, and requires physical stamina for tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and carrying up to 20 lbs. of equipment. The company is committed to environmental safety and protecting the community by detecting natural gas leaks. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Thursday work schedule from 7 am to 5:30 pm.

Requirements

• High School Diploma OR GED
• Valid, unexpired Driver's license
• Passion for Environmental Safety
• Tech Enthusiast (direct experience working with hands-on technology is a plus, including phones & computers)
• Problem Solving skills
• Superb Customer Service skills
• Communication Skills (ability to accurately relay findings and convey information)
• Attention to Detail
• Physical Stamina (endurance to perform tasks effectively and safely)
• Personal vehicle for daily work use

• Direct experience working with hands-on technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately detect gas leaks using the latest safety equipment.
• Quickly analyze data related to gas leaks.
• Work independently after training, demonstrating time management and problem-solving skills.
• Explore the outdoors, typically walking 5+ miles per day.
• Help navigate any natural gas incidents and implement proper solutions.
• Be professional and responsive to clients, providing peace of mind.

• Be vigilant and stay focused while working to locate leaks.
• Perform tasks effectively and safely, requiring physical stamina.
• Utilize a personal vehicle for daily work use (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Perform physical requirements including bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day; carry up to 20 lbs. of equipment.
