About The Position

The Field Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support field operations, including equipment operation, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, and site remediation. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, physical endurance, and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate emergency response and overtime work as needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications required for confined space entry and hazardous material handling.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in hazardous waste management, spill response, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining field equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate equipment and vehicles in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be available for on-call emergency response services, including: Clean-up of hazardous and non-hazardous waste spills, Site remediation efforts, Waste management tasks
  • Perform confined space entry and tank cleaning tasks as required, following safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Be available for overtime and out-of-town assignments as requested to meet operational needs.
  • Engage in strenuous physical activities, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials, while adhering to safety standards.
  • Accurately complete and submit time sheets, vehicle logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in and around the office, yards, warehouses, and trucks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Handle, package, and transport hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards.
  • Assist in the proper labeling, storage, and documentation of hazardous waste.
  • Use field instruments to monitor hazardous material levels and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in regular safety training, including hazmat handling and emergency response drills.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to hazardous materials and waste.
  • Other duties as assigned.
