About The Position
Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician to join their Building & Construction team in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to start a career in the A/E/C industry, gaining hands-on experience supporting construction projects. Intertek's Building and Construction division provides assurance, testing, inspection, and consulting services for new developments, existing assets, and facilities. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI), a part of Intertek, is a provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services for civil and commercial construction projects, including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning technical skills, and contributing to construction projects. No prior materials testing experience is required. Responsibilities
- Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials
- Observe construction activities and document findings in accordance with project requirements
- Record, review, and report test results accurately and efficiently
- Read and work from plans, specifications, and project documents
- Operate testing equipment, tools, and instruments safely and effectively
- Communicate observations and test results with project teams and clients
- Maintain organized project records and documentation
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while promoting a strong safety culture
