About The Position
This notice is to inform Section 3 residents that employment opportunities may become available in connection with the City of Northport – NORTH PORT I&I MITIGATION COMM DEV 2025-43 project, funded by the Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). Potential job opportunities may include, but are not limited to, laborers, equipment operators, trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.), apprentices, administrative or clerical support, and other construction-related positions. Actual job openings will depend on contractor needs and project timing. In accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 CFR Part 75), preference will be given, to the greatest extent feasible, to Section 3 residents (low- or very-low income persons) and Targeted Section 3 residents (those who reside in the project or service area, meet HUD income eligibility requirements, or are participants in qualifying workforce programs).
