That’s how we’re UNSTOPPABLE for our employees! T-Mobile is searching for an impactful Field Technician in the Appalachian Corridor to join us in taking the next big leap forward! You should possess a balance of wireless industry exposure, coupled with the ability to be independent and cover a wide area of sites in our market. You will be a generalist, encompassing aspects of technical support, project management, and operational support while being a responsible teammate. We are a team that encourages innovation and advocates an agile and open approach, truly working and playing in the Un-carrier way! T-Mobile is seeking a motivated and skilled Field Technician to support our Engineering & Operations team across western Maryland, the West Virginia Panhandle and Potomac Highlands, and the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. In Maryland, this role covers Washington County (Hagerstown, Williamsport, Boonsboro, Smithsburg, Clear Spring, and Hancock), western Frederick County (Middletown and Brunswick), Allegany County (Cumberland, Frostburg, and LaVale), and Garrett County (Oakland, Grantsville, and Accident). In West Virginia, the territory includes the Eastern Panhandle (Martinsburg, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, Hedgesville, and Berkeley Springs) and the Potomac Highlands (Romney, Moorefield, Petersburg, and Keyser). In Virginia, the territory spans the I-81 corridor and Shenandoah Valley (Winchester, Front Royal, Strasburg, Woodstock, Harrisonburg, Luray, and Berryville), extending east to Loudoun and Fauquier foothill communities such as Purcellville, Round Hill, and Marshall. The territory also reaches into south-central Pennsylvania, including Chambersburg, Waynesboro, Greencastle, and McConnellsburg. There may be instances where this person is asked to provide coverage along the I-70, I-81, and I-68 corridors, as well as occasional day travel to other areas within the Mid-Atlantic region. This territory includes a mix of rural and mountainous sites, so we need a technician who is comfortable with long drive times, remote site access, and severe-weather conditions, and who can work independently. Ideal candidates live within or near these areas, such as Hagerstown, Martinsburg, Winchester, Cumberland, or Harrisonburg, so they can respond quickly to on-call and after-hours needs. The Field Technician role involves applying technical knowledge to maintain and improve network performance and reliability. It involves providing technical assistance, managing smaller projects, and contributing to operational process improvements. The role requires understanding of radio access networks, backhaul, signaling, disaster recovery, data services, and location-based services. Success is measured by effective technical support, timely project updates, and identification of process improvements. The work directly impacts network stability and service quality for organizational and customer needs.
