Field Technician, Meter Reader - Chester, VA
About The Position
Heath Consultants Incorporated is actively hiring Meter Reader Technicians who are service-minded team players. Become a Utility Meter Reader Technician! This is a full-time, day-time position with a remote mobile office approach, where equipment is provided. Technicians will have assigned routes each day, utilizing handheld devices to ensure clear and complete services. The role requires availability for overtime and some weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk, bend and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Must be available to work overtime and some weekends (as needed).
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Must pass drug screen, and background check.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
Nice To Haves
- Outdoor experience preferred.
- Customer/Client Service Experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Have assigned routes each day.
- Pick up a handheld device from the local office, which has the route for the day.
- Turn in the handheld device at the end of the day.
- Work from their personal vehicle utilizing the handheld devices to ensure clear and complete services.
