About The Position

The Field Technician II lays out, assembles, and maintains pipe, pumps, and related equipment for agricultural or industrial work sites. The role also represents Rain for Rent positively and maintains good relations with customers. Rain for Rent provides temporary liquid-handling solutions, including water handling and irrigation, temporary liquid storage, and other solutions for critical liquid-management challenges. The company emphasizes safe, efficient project completion, quality, and customer service.

Requirements

• Able to use a calculator, cellular telephone, and tape measure or ruler.
• Able to read a map and calculate distances.
• Motivated, a team player, safety-oriented, and customer-service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Select pipe sizes, types, and related materials according to specifications.
• Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Inspect equipment, company vehicles, and tools for safety and functionality before traveling to customer sites.
• Track and maintain company tools and supplies, and report damaged or missing items to the Supervisor.
• Complete a Job Site Analysis for customer or job sites where work will be performed.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to project specifications.
• Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers after installation and testing when required.
• Use hand and power tools to modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, pumps, and related machinery and equipment according to specifications.
• Follow QSE regulations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction before leaving the jobsite and answer customer questions.
• Promote cooperation and good communication with Branch and Corporate personnel.
• Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Culture.
• Know and practice the company’s value proposition.
• Positively represent the Company and maintain good customer relations.
