About The Position

The Field Technician is responsible for performing service and repair work on earthmoving equipment in both field and shop environments. This role requires the ability to accurately evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, often working independently or as part of a team. Successful candidates will complete on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning, demonstrating initiative, strong teamwork, a commitment to customer service, and dedication to providing efficient, effective solutions. Advancement in technician classification is based on attitude, skill development, and overall job performance.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license to be eligible for hire.
High school diploma or the equivalent
A minimum of one (1) year's work experience involving mechanical repairs or a combination of relevant experience and equivalent technical education required.
Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills required.
Intermediate engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic, and repair skills
Written and verbal communication skills required.
Basic computer skills required.
MVR (required)

Nice To Haves

Med Card and CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Adheres to and follows all applicable and required safety standards and procedures.
Plans and performs minor repairs using correct tools and procedures.
Performs the following tasks on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; minor adjustments as needed for service.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrates proper use of service information systems.
Orders and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner.
Test and adjust components for optimal performance.
Works independently in the field as required.
