Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking PART-TIME Entry-Level Field Technicians to join their Professional Services Industries Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Miami, FL. This role offers a great opportunity to build a career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Requirements

Basic Math, Calculator and Computer Skills
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
Must be able to read and understand work plans
Must be able to work off shifts and overtime
Must be able to work on weekends occasionally as needed
Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Experience performing field and/or construction materials testing and/or inspections is preferred
No experience required – we offer in-house training!
Industry Certifications are highly preferred: ACI Concrete Field Testing Grade I, FDOT - 346, FDOT Earthwork Level I & II, FDOT Asphalt Paving Level I & II

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
Operates testing equipment and conducts testing (e.g., Soil, concrete, or other) and provides assessment of data through reporting.
Works utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Uses specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
Make detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of results.
Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results.
Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.
Communicates effectively with client and project teams.
Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
