Field Technical Support Representative

About The Position

HP is seeking a Field Technical Support Representative to support customers throughout Central Pennsylvania. The role requires existing field technical support knowledge and skills with PCs and printers, including experience supporting HP laptops, desktops, and printers. The representative performs routine to moderately complex assignments involving technical problem resolution and independent judgment, efficiently allocates their time, and receives general instructions on work.

Requirements

Minimum vocational diploma or associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent) and 1–2 years of related work experience, or a degree with no more than 1 year of relevant work experience.
Knowledge and experience supporting HP products, PCs, and printers.
Thorough knowledge of the organization and its policies.
Comprehensive business, technical, or functional knowledge.
Basic project-management skills.
Communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers, peers, and support partners.
Ability to perform under high-pressure situations.
Ability to travel 50%.

Responsibilities

Maintain high customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring they are met.
Handle customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately, escalating issues according to established procedures.
Provide software service, post-sales support, or service-delivery support for local accounts on standard systems.
Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions.
