About The Position

The Field Talent Staff (FTS) program is an opportunity for new and emerging Restaurant Leaders to leverage their existing restaurant expertise to train Team Members in new Chick-fil-A Restaurants on Brand and Operational Standards. FTS also provide operational support at various Chick-fil-A, Inc. assignments, which can include Chick-fil-A, Inc.-Owned Restaurants, Chick-fil-A, Inc. Support Centers, or Disaster Relief and other similar temporary locations. This program is designed to develop leadership, training, and operational skills through collaboration with other outstanding leaders within the Chick-fil-A network. Individuals interested in the FTS program must currently be employed at a Chick-fil-A-branded restaurant, have a minimum of six months of employment at their current location, and possess the support of their current employer to apply. FTS are limited to a maximum of eight Chick-fil-A, Inc. assignments per year, with each assignment lasting up to three weeks.

Requirements

  • Must currently work in a Chick-fil-A-branded restaurant.
  • Must have worked at that location for at least six months.
  • Must have current employer’s support before applying.
  • FTS1 and FTS2 candidates are eligible for this assignment.
  • Must complete the FTS Program Application prior to applying for training events.
  • Must have a successful Background Check processed.
  • New FTS must complete the FTS1 Certification Course on their first assignment while clocked in.
  • Existing FTS must complete the FTS1 Certification Course by June 30, 2026, while not on assignment.
  • Download completion certificate for new FTS and share with supervisor on assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing FTS completing the course while not on assignment should not log time in NOVAtime or expenses in Workday.

Responsibilities

  • Serve on New Restaurant Opening (NRO) training team.
  • Primarily responsible for training new Team Members in Front of House (FOH), Drive-Thru, Back of House (BOH) and/or Prep.

Benefits

  • Paid hourly rate of $20 ($21.50 per hour for assignments in Washington state).
  • Daily per diem.
  • Overtime pay at one and one-half times the regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek (Sunday through Saturday), unless otherwise required by law.
  • 5 hours of paid time for completing the FTS1 Certification Course (4 hours learning + paid breaks).
  • One day of per diem for use of personal technology when completing the FTS1 Certification Course while not on assignment.
