About The Position

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Field Support Specialist II for the Northeast Region. This role involves providing startup, troubleshooting, and end-user training for lighting control systems. The specialist will interpret lighting and floor plans and specifications to ensure system installations meet expectations. This position requires expertise in handling complex jobs and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve concerns and ensure project completion. The role is based anywhere in the Northeast region of the United States and involves significant travel.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree or equivalent
1 to 2 years of relevant technical experience
Working general computer skills, including but not limited to e-mail, spread sheet, word processing, and data entry
Strong communication, both written and oral
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Understanding of basic electrical components (relays, drivers, ballasts...)

Nice To Haves

2 to 4 years of relevant experience with problem solving client facing technical issues
Understanding of lighting control systems

Responsibilities

Performs onsite lighting and control startup, troubleshooting and end user training (55%)
Provides expert support for both internal and external customers as it pertains to field applications of product (30%)
Creates and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to provide differentiated service (10%)
Provides engineering support and communicates cross-functionally with other departments (5%)
