About The Position

The Field Supervisor oversees the crew and equipment at a plant or project site and ensures work is completed safely and to customer standards. The role is within Direct Labor in the Environmental business unit and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. Action Environmental is a full-service environmental and industrial services contractor focused on safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial cleaning or project remediation and previous supervisory experience.

Requirements

Strong commitment to safety.
Five to ten years of experience operating heavy equipment, vacuum trucks, hydro-blasters, and line-cleaning equipment.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to manage and motivate others.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to travel and work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

Maintain safety standards and requirements for the entire crew under supervision.
Perform, operate, and supervise work involving hydro blasting, chemical cleaning, vacuum truck operation, and tank cleaning.
Operate high-pressure water-blasting equipment to clean industrial equipment such as pipes, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, and bundles.
Work in varied environments, including confined spaces, heights, storage tanks, and diverse project sites.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and wet or dry environments.
Lift up to 50 pounds and work with hoses, chemicals, and other equipment required for assigned jobs.
Connect and disconnect hoses using appropriate tools.
Assist with operating equipment and power tools.
Clean work areas and equipment after work is completed.
Assist with inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area.
Read work orders and collect the equipment needed to perform tasks.
Complete required paperwork, including service receipts.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
