About The Position

Landscapers By Nature Ltd. (LBN) is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead and manage a landscaping crew division, ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery. This role is the primary point of contact for a team of approximately 10 people, responsible for ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time, and to company standards, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The position offers year-round full-time work, with landscaping duties during the summer and snow removal in the winter. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in landscaping or a similar field, with leadership experience preferred
  • Clean Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to drive a truck and trailer
  • Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or customers
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable with technology

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and deploy crews via Slack and deliver daily/weekly tailgate talks.
  • Review schedules with Crew Leads, coaching on equipment, time goals, and priorities.
  • Fill in for absent Crew Leaders or manage casual staff, and spot-check truck inspections.
  • Conduct and coordinate Snowfall Reports and perform or delegate roadway gravel/salt operations during winter.
  • Oversee equipment/material transport and prioritize repairs with the shop.
  • Approve timesheets and input data into KPI sheets.
  • Lead daily Zone Huddles and attend the 11:00 AM Regional Huddle.
  • Lead a daily call with the Regional Manager to review weather, staffing, and prioritize sites.
  • Use LMN, Slack, and Ninety.io to log progress, issues, and track goals.
  • Hold Crew Leads accountable for quality, labor efficiency, and data reporting.
  • Provide onboarding, skill evaluations, and ensure completion of training checklists.
  • Complete Quarterly Conversations with direct reports and build "Bench Strength".
  • Perform daily site visits, conduct documented quality audits, and relay scores to crews.
  • Investigate field incidents and ensure PPE usage.
  • Plan the following week’s work, update LMN calendars, and restock C-cans.
  • Attend weekly Production L10 and 1w1 with the Regional Manager.
  • Monitor snow pile locations for compliance and coordinate seasonal changeovers.
  • Execute the vision and strategy of leadership at the field level.
