Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education with at least three to five (3-5) years of experience or on the job training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of fluid flow, pressure, hydrostatic head, pump characteristics and pipeline operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel and work in remote areas on a daily basis; may be on call.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing work of third party contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental requirements are met.
  • Oversee all operational, construction, safety, and personnel work received from Operations Director and Field personnel, assigning it to field supervisors for completion.
  • Directs the daily activities of an average of four to six (4-6) employees.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and assist employees as necessary to keep the pipeline in continuous operation.
  • Carries out the duties of the Area Supervisor in their absence.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, assigning and direction work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
