About The Position

This position provides supervision of the pipeline technical maintenance. The position is responsible for the supervision of pipeline technical maintenance activities through the direction of electrical/electronic technicians and mechanical technicians, as well as performing project management for district technical projects. This role involves providing guidance to resolve operational problems, working collaboratively with shared service departments to maintain consistency and maximize benefits across all business areas, and supporting capital projects through commissioning activities. The role ensures equipment reliability and efficiency through the preventative maintenance program and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, company policy, and required maintenance inspections. Additionally, the position involves preparing and managing the technical maintenance expense budget, re-forecasting as appropriate, and providing recommendations for system operational improvements through capital and expense project submissions. Support and assistance with all HES (Health, Environmental, and Safety) training activities, updates, and compliance are also key responsibilities. The role may also provide supervisory relief in various areas during pipeline emergencies or business needs.

Requirements

  • High School or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the electrical/electronic and mechanical components required for liquid pipeline operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to implement Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency with applicable software applications.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and PLC programming, electrical systems, pumps, engines, motors, valves.
  • Knowledge of DOT – OPS regulations including understanding of operator qualifications requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory relief in various areas in the event of a pipeline emergency or business need.
