About The Position

San Diego-based commercial property services company seeking an experienced Field Supervisor (Janitorial) to join our growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of services meets contract specifications and for acting as a liaison for maintenance and liability issues. The Field Supervisor trains staff on safety procedures, performs quality control inspections, and assists with daily cleaning tasks. They also support the manager with hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising day-to-day activities of Day Porters and in-house sweepers, filling shift vacancies, and managing overtime. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies, managing inventories, attending operations meetings, and ensuring the proper use of company vehicles and equipment. The role may also involve performing other job-related assignments as required by the client, which could include unscheduled duties beyond normal shift hours, such as unlocking doors, accepting deliveries, and attending to tenant needs. The Field Supervisor is expected to engage and work with others professionally and pleasantly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supervising housekeeping/janitorial staff.
  • Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Valid California Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Motivation to do a good job when working alone.
  • Attention to detail and use of reasonable judgment.
  • A polished, professional, put-together demeanor.
  • Ability to use technological devices and computers (i.e., smartphone, tablet, computer).
  • Oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities
