About The Position

The Field Supervisor II is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure worksite by following all safety protocols. This role involves assessing job site situations to determine necessary resources, materials, and equipment, and acting as the first person on site. The supervisor will independently lead work crews in operational duties at spills, projects, and other job sites, assessing hazards and applying appropriate mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include gathering data for documentation, managing time, materials, personnel, and equipment, and procuring rental equipment as needed. The Field Supervisor II will collaborate with Operations Managers and Project Managers, prepare waste for shipment, ensure proper use of equipment and materials, and serve as a liaison with customers and regulatory agencies. Additionally, this role will support management and marketing staff with presentations and sales initiatives, develop new business and service lines, and respond to emergency incidents 24/7 when on uncontrolled standby. The position also requires coordinating and prioritizing area resources for maximum efficiency and utilization. Other reasonable directives, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Current Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required.
  • Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 – 10 years industry experience preferred.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Incident Command System experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure worksite through following all safety protocols.
  • Assess the job site situation to determine the resources, materials and equipment needed.
  • Independently supervise and lead the work crews completing operational duties at spills, projects, and other job sites.
  • Assess the job site for hazards and apply appropriate mitigation to those hazards for the safety of personnel on the job site.
  • Gather data to complete timesheets, work summaries, manifests, picture logs, etc. as required.
  • Manage time, materials, personnel, and equipment on worksite.
  • Procure rental equipment as needed.
  • Work with Operations Manager and Project Managers.
  • Prepare waste for shipment and delivery.
  • Ensure the proper use of equipment and materials by personnel.
  • Liaison with customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Aid management and marketing staff with presentations and sales initiatives.
  • Develop new business and service lines as required.
  • Respond to various types of emergency response incidents 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week as required when on uncontrolled standby.
  • Coordinate and prioritize area resources to maximize efficiency and utilization.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
