About The Position

Carolina Heating is seeking an experienced and dependable Field Supervisor Electrician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and/or light commercial electrical systems while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining all safety and code requirements.

Requirements

  • At least five years of electrical field experience.
  • Previous leadership or field-supervision experience.
  • Experience estimating and pricing larger electrical projects.
  • Standby generator experience strongly preferred.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred or required based on local regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local code requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, electrical plans, and one-line diagrams.
  • Understanding of labor planning, material takeoffs, job costing, and gross margins.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer-service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Electrical License preferred
  • 5 + Residential service experience as a Lead or Supervisor
  • Experience with service software or mobile dispatch systems
  • Generator, panel upgrade, transfer switch installations or specialty electrical experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and support electricians, apprentices, and installation crews.
  • Visit job sites to ensure safe, code-compliant, high-quality work.
  • Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting and complex electrical installations.
  • Review plans, specifications, and job-site conditions.
  • Prepare accurate labor and material estimates for larger electrical projects.
  • Price and bid service upgrades, panel replacements, rewiring, remodels, new construction, commercial projects, and standby generator installations.
  • Complete generator load calculations and recommend properly sized equipment and transfer switches.
  • Develop clear proposals, scopes of work, project schedules, and material lists.
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, materials, utilities, subcontractors, and project schedules.
  • Monitor labor, materials, change orders, job costs, and project profitability.
  • Train and coach field employees while reinforcing safety, quality, productivity, and excellent customer service.
  • Follow up on outstanding proposals and help convert qualified opportunities into completed projects.
