About The Position

The Field Superintendent works closely with the PM team to be an on-site presence when issues arise, or information needs to be field verified. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. The Field Superintendent is responsible and accountable for taking field measurements, troubleshooting issues with material provided on-site, investigating warranty issues and coordinating with PM and Purchasing teams, attending punch list walkthroughs as required, dropping off last-minute material, making proactive job site visits to check in with customers on progress of projects and discuss additional needs, providing field reports to the PM team based on job site surveys with accompanying pictures as required, providing technical guidance, material application, and installation training to the PM team, assisting the PM team with review of change order requests, utilizing company specific ERP software to review detailing of doors, frames, and hardware scheduled, assisting in getting Customer Return material returned to our office, and performing additional tasks as assigned. Essential functions include driving a vehicle to job sites to review issues, field measuring, and customer contact; ability to accurately read a tape measure; application of product knowledge to solve issues and train others; great customer service; scanning and filing documents and pictures from job site surveys in appropriate computer systems; and proficiency with computer software (Microsoft Office suite, ERP system, etc.).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience in the commercial door and hardware industry or construction industry
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to customers and internal team members
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and requests
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain adequate level of professionalism while dealing with frustrated customers
  • Attention to detail
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities
