About The Position

This role is for a Field Specialist within the Digital Solutions & Chemicals (DSC) organization, supporting industrial and oilfield operations. The position focuses on building hands-on field expertise, ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous learning. The Field Specialist plays a key role in monitoring applications, conducting testing, maintaining equipment, and supporting product and inventory management activities in alignment with company core values. The role is based out of a customer location in the Port Arthur, TX area and involves supporting field operations through monitoring, testing, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. The position includes structured development through the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program to prepare individuals for supporting product lines and customer applications.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• A general understanding of basic industrial processes and business principles.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• A two-year Technical College degree or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, and petroleum engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring application operating parameters to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant field operations.
• Conducting field and product tests, recording results, and communicating findings to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
• Performing equipment maintenance as directed to support reliability and operational continuity.
• Completing product inventory management activities, including inventory reporting, ordering, and supporting deliveries.
• Building general knowledge of basic industrial processes, business principles, and DSC product applications.
• Successfully completing required training through participation in the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program, including in-depth training focused on HSE, compliance, oilfield fundamentals, and basic product line products and services.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
