•$233,000 - $324,000

About The Position

As an AI Infrastructure Field Solutions Architect, you will support Google Cloud commercial teams in incubating, piloting, and rolling out TPU and GPU hardware for market innovators, large enterprises, and early-stage startups. You will help customers use Google Cloud systems and software to innovate faster. You will guide technical discussions about network topologies, fabric architecture, and compute or storage integration, and support server and cluster provisioning. The role includes on-site visits to customer hosting facilities during physical implementation. You will assess opportunities and cost-to-performance tradeoffs, evaluate baseline models, develop migration paths, and integrate specialized silicon into broader technical roadmaps. You will also partner with internal product and engineering teams to resolve roadblocks and shape future platform capabilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with data center technologies, solutions, and deployment.
  • Experience with data center networking, including routing, switching, DNS, and IP addressing; compute and storage concepts; and operations including power, cooling, and procedures.
  • Experience with AI model training and inference, deploying open-source frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX, and optimizing performance versus cost.
  • Experience with scripting and coding in Python, YAML, and Kubernetes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience training and fine-tuning large models with accelerators.
  • Experience with performance profiling and benchmarking tools such as MLPerf, PyTorch Profiler, and TensorBoard.
  • Experience deploying compute, network, and storage solutions in data centers.
  • Experience deploying TPU clusters.

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on incorporating AI accelerators into business strategy by designing training and inference platforms and integrating existing data center technologies.
  • Demonstrate Google Cloud’s differentiated capabilities through customer proofs of concept, feature demonstrations, model-performance optimization, profiling, and benchmarking.
  • Assist with production deployment of Google Cloud accelerators, troubleshoot integration with existing compute, networking, and storage solutions, and help customers operate training and inference clusters.
  • Build repeatable assets for customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the AI Infrastructure Dedicated Engineering Team in Google Compute Engine to scale machine-learning techniques and solutions.
