About The Position

Connected Technology is a growing Managed IT Services and Physical Security provider serving businesses, nonprofit organizations, emergency service organizations, and public agencies throughout Long Island. We are seeking a dependable, professional Field Services Technician who enjoys hands-on work, helping clients, and solving problems.

Requirements

1-3+ years of IT, low-voltage, telecom, field service or related experience
Strong customer service skills
Ability to think independently and solve problems
Valid driver license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50 lbs and use ladders safely

Responsibilities

Install cabling, cameras, access control devices, wireless networks, computers, printers, and VoIP systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, networking, and connectivity issues.
Act as onsite hands for senior engineers and maintain accurate documentation.
Run, terminate, label and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
Install cameras, access control devices, wireless APs, switches and firewalls
Deploy PCs, laptops, printers and phones
Assist with office moves and technology refresh projects
Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking issues
Resolve hardware and software problems onsite
Follow guidance from Level 2 and Level 3 engineers
Document work in the ticketing platform
