About The Position
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Field Services Technician. This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in water and sewer system operations. The primary focus of this role will be to support employees in maintaining the grounds and assisting with distribution system operations.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of ground maintenance, plumbing, and general labor experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Valid Alabama Driver License
- ADEM Water or Wastewater Operator Grade I/Grade IC or ability to obtain one within 12 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in grounds maintenance tasks including but not limited to mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
- Support in the upkeep of outdoor spaces such as walkways, parking lots, and landscaping features.
- Aid in the inspection and maintenance of distribution system components under supervision.
- Assist in minor repairs and upkeep of distribution system infrastructure as directed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
