The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) is a government agency focused on protecting water resources, minimizing flood risks, and ensuring public water needs are met for nearly 6 million people in west-central Florida. This internship is within the Regulatory Support Bureau, offering hands-on experience in regulatory, permitting, and compliance functions. Interns will assist with drafting correspondence, compiling and analyzing data, comparing construction activities against approved plans, participating in meetings, routing inquiries, supporting inspections, and contributing to research. This role is not eligible for remote work and provides an opportunity to develop practical skills and understanding of environmental resource programs.
