About The Position

As a Field Services Representative in our Houston office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. In this role, you will support project construction, commissioning, and contract administration including developing and coordinating system test procedures, administering functional performance tests, and conducting regular field observations. You will document and track deficiencies, support punch list resolution, and verify that MEP installations and tests comply with project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. You will coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to schedule tests, shutdowns, and user training, and provide organized field reports, test records, and similar documentation. You will provide regular updates to the project team of progress and field issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands on experience in construction management/administration, commissioning, facilities management/operation, mechanical contracting or MEP coordination.
  • Knowledge of test and balance, and controls is required.
  • Full understanding of applicable design codes, design standards and specification requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction and general knowledge of operations/maintenance methods.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and other construction-based software.
  • Valid state driver’s license for job site travel.
  • Experience in combining personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to make sound decisions.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Operates with diplomacy and tact in communicating with contractors, clients, and other project team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electrical and life safety systems is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
