About The Position

This is a remote role supporting East Pennsylvania, specifically the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. The Field Service Engineer will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes. This role involves applying mechanical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, interacting with healthcare professionals, and contributing to the optimization of healthcare delivery, directly impacting patient lives. There are opportunities for advancement and learning specialized automated or robotic products. The Field Service Engineer Level I will provide moderate-level onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of Omnicell's electro-mechanical solutions. They will regularly communicate with manager-level nursing and pharmacy staff and work on problems of moderate scope. Shared responsibilities include thoroughly documenting all service events according to Omnicell's policies and procedures, meeting company guidelines for response time and service levels, escalating product bugs, malfunctions, and design issues through support channels, participating in various staff meetings, maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction, and managing parts inventory and the return materials process.

Requirements

  • Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to approximately 5 ft. high.
  • Available 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, and for weekend on-call rotations.
  • Frequent local travel in the primary area.
  • Backup support in adjacent areas as needed.
  • Provide work area at home and space for trunk stock inventory.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to meet Omnicell's insurance coverage requirements.
  • Must have their own vehicle in acceptable working condition.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline and experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
