About The Position

This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes. The Field Service Engineer will apply mechanical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, impacting patient lives through optimizing healthcare delivery. The position offers opportunities to learn pharmacy and nursing workflows and understand how medication management systems drive efficiency and reduce wasteful spending. There are also opportunities for advancement and learning specialized automated or robotic products.

Requirements

  • Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet Omnicell's insurance coverage requirements.
  • Must have own vehicle in acceptable working condition.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline and experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide moderate-level onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of Omnicell's electro-mechanical solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with manager-level nursing and pharmacy staff and work on problems of moderate scope.
  • Thoroughly document all service events according to Omnicell's policies and procedures.
  • Meet company guidelines for response time and service levels.
  • Escalate product bugs, malfunctions, and design issues through support channels.
  • Participate in various staff meetings.
  • Maintain service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage parts inventory and return materials process.
