Field Service Technician
About The Position
SAIC is looking for a Field Service Technician to support the AC-130 gunship located at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. This position is located full time at Cannon AFB. The technician will interface with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems, including performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. They will conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order and isolate equipment start-up malfunctions, taking corrective action. The role may involve making technical presentations and requires a strong knowledge of products. The technician will train customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities. Additionally, they will provide technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Cannon AFB. This includes providing on-site technical support for weapons and associated equipment used by the squadron and acting as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
