About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations, develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management, and work with an incredible team in a safety-focused environment. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
CDL license may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities
