As a Field Service Technician, you'll be on the front lines of confined space entry and rescue, hazardous and non-hazardous cleanup, tank and equipment maintenance, and much more. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience performing general laborer duties related to the clean-up of hazardous waste sites.
  • Familiarization and understanding of use and application of various types of respiratory protection and chemical hazards.
  • Working knowledge of commonly used field equipment and gear.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.
  • Basic computer and smartphone app skills for timekeeping and communication.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and a clean DMV required.
  • HAZMAT Certification
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER with current 8-hour refresher
  • Confined Space Entry & Rescue
  • First Aid/CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • TWIC Card preferred
  • Forklift Certification and ability to operate manlifts, reach lifts, and skid steers (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy physical labor including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Perform tank cleaning, hazardous waste cleanup, confined space entry/rescue, and industrial maintenance tasks.
  • Operate a wide range of industrial equipment: pressure washers, vacuum trucks, water blasters, pumps, compressors, forklifts, and more.
  • Assist with job site setup including containments, barricading, trailer chocking, and equipment staging.
  • Support emergency and scheduled cleanups by packaging waste, decontaminating areas, and chemical transferring and handling.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and complete all required training and documentation.
  • Work in various weather conditions and temperatures indoor and outdoor.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and maintain good communication with supervisors and team members.
  • Willing to travel and work overtime.
