Field Service Technician
About The Position
The Equipment Service Technician role is responsible for providing repair services on pumps, blowers, portable / stationary compressors, generators, and ancillary equipment. Trask-Decrow Machinery (TDM) is a growth-oriented company committed to providing a seamless selection of quality industrial pumps, process air solutions, and portable equipment to satisfy virtually any application. Trask-Decrow also provides installation, overhaul, and repair of current and new systems. We service all of New England with regional representatives to provide unmatched customer service and support.
Requirements
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret work orders along with communicating ideas and suggestions both verbally and in writing
- Ability to complete basic math skills
- Basic Computer skills
- General mechanical aptitude
- Frequent use of both hands
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, service and repair on air compressors, pumps and portable diesel utility equipment
- Oversee and/or install related equipment and systems at customer locations
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and or system failures
- Educate customers on proper start-up procedures and maintenance intervals along with potential spare parts requirements
- Maintain continuity between the customer and the company during and after installations to ensure proper application, and operations of systems and equipment
- Follow proper safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Provide the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignments
- Insure the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all company vehicles and equipment
- Attend relevant training session and maintain appropriate required levels of certifications
- Administrative responsibilities include the documenting of labor hours, parts usage, and equipment data on a daily basis.
