About The Position

InstroTek is looking for a Field Service Technician to install, service, and support industry-leading testing equipment used in construction materials and quality assurance. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical challenges, and making a real impact in the field. Expect ~80% travel, exciting job sites, and continuous learning in a fast-growing company. We will train.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with laboratory or field testing equipment (construction materials testing preferred)
• Proficiency with diagnostic and calibration tools preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM/service software
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally
• Associate degree or technical training in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or related field)
• Minimum 2 years of field service or technical support experience
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and safety documentation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair InstroTek testing instruments
• Perform on-site and remote service visits at customer facilities
• Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance
• Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers
• Document service activities, maintenance logs, and communications
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations in the field
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve complex issues
• Share field feedback to support product improvements
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed
