About The Position

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to support our SJE Revere brand. This role will be based in Florida. There is heavy travel involved with this role. Our Revere brand is a leading provider of automation and control solutions for the industrial, water and wastewater treatment, power and energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries. We design, build, and implement customized automation and control systems for highly complex projects. As the Field Service Technician, you will provide maintenance and commissioning services including calibrations, I/O checkout, functional testing, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. This position provides responsive, customer service driven electrical and automation support to customers, which includes troubleshooting, remediation, implementation, commissioning, and testing of electrical and automation components and systems.

Requirements

  • Experience with field instrumentation for troubleshooting, loop checkout, calibration and support the functional checkout of a control system.
  • Experience with simple field metering devices and calibration equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and the control portion of P&ID drawings for control systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-based electrical control systems including input/output signals.
  • Experience with control panel drawings and P&ID drawings.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting PLC control logic.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting SCADA/HMI code.
  • Programing and troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Understanding of safety in and around work areas which may have voltage sources including but not limited to 24 VDC, 120 VAC, 208 VAC, 240 VAC, 480 VAC, 600 VAC, 4160 VAC.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience in field service.
  • Basic computer software skills using Microsoft Office Suite, E-Mail, Internet.
  • Completion of OSHA safety training/certification.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with specialized tools, test, and calibration equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with customers, vendors, company employees and subcontractors.
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for company insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • Self-motivated and a proven ability to take charge of a task and complete it with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding the related plant processes and associated control system components and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and commissioning services including calibrations, I/O checkout, functional testing, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide responsive, customer service driven electrical and automation support to customers, which includes troubleshooting, remediation, implementation, commissioning, and testing of electrical and automation components and systems.
  • Commissioning new or perform after-startup service for former/current customers who call Revere for help on existing or potential problems.
  • Installation of replacement equipment for customers who are upgrading or replacing defective units.
  • Installation of electrical infrastructure materials including conduit, wire, and instrument support stands.
  • Installation of control panels and instrumentation devices.
