About The Position

The Field Service Technician (FST) provides maintenance, installation, start-up and troubleshooting for all KSD products. The FST is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships as well as maintaining accurate, complete and up to date customer information. The FST must be capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Results will be measured by service revenue generated and growth of consumable products at targeted accounts. Candidate must reside in New England.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and execute service, installation, start-up and troubleshooting visits as required.
  • Assist the District Sales Managers (DSM) with the promotion/sales of all products, including service, service contracts and spare parts.
  • Grow consumable sales at assigned target accounts.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports and billing documentation.
  • Take field notes, conduct surveys, map machines and evaluate existing equipment as required.
  • Communicate with engineering any field modifications made during the installation of equipment.
  • Assist and train the customer on adjustment, setting, operation and maintenance.
  • Travel extensively and spend weekends and/or holidays at the customer’s location when necessary.
  • Safe working practices are critical as paper machines operate at high speed and injuries may be serious.
  • Recommend product improvements.
