As a Field Service Technician , you’ll be the trusted technical expert working directly with contractors and equipment operators to install, support, and optimize cutting‑edge Topcon Machine Control systems . You won’t always be stuck behind a desk, your “office” is the jobsite, alongside customers who rely on your expertise to keep projects moving.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Comfort troubleshooting electro‑mechanical , hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Customer-first mindset with strong communication skills
  • Quick learner who enjoys mastering new technology
  • Intermediate computer skills (software navigation, diagnostics, documentation)
  • Physically capable of: Climbing onto large equipment Lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Willingness to travel as needed (travel fluctuates based on business demands)
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or trade school preferred
  • Field experience or prior work with: Heavy equipment Construction machinery Automotive, diesel, electrical, or mechanical systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with machine control installations is a plus. but not required
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn heavy equipment operation and advanced technology

Responsibilities

  • Install and service Topcon Machine Control systems on: Dozers Motor Graders Excavators Skid Steers Compactors Pavers and Curb Machines
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, hydraulic, and electronic systems to improve machine accuracy and performance
  • Research and diagnose technical issues to identify effective solutions
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑sale technical support for customers and sales teams via: On-site visits Phone E-mail Remote support tools
  • Represent the company professionally at customer job sites and build long-term relationships
  • Work outdoors in varied conditions: rain, heat, and cold are part of the job
