Field Service Technician - Pest Control & Lighting Installation
About The Position
AER Home Services operates two rapidly growing home service brands: Pest Hunters (Residential and commercial pest control services) and Humbug Lighting (Permanent roofline lighting, Landscape lighting, Holiday lighting installation and service). We're building a team of professionals who take pride in exceptional customer service and want to grow with a company that promotes from within. We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Field Service Technician who is excited to learn both pest control and lighting installation. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable technical skills, work across multiple service lines, and build a long-term career with a growing company. No prior pest control experience is required. We will train the right candidate.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders and lifts
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to obtain a Tennessee Category 7 Pest Control Applicator Certification
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Pest control experience
- Construction, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, or home service experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Customer service experience
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial pest control treatments
- Conduct property inspections and identify pest issues
- Apply products safely and according to company standards
- Educate customers on prevention and treatment recommendations
- Complete service records and documentation
- Install permanent roofline lighting systems
- Install landscape lighting systems
- Install and remove holiday lighting
- Troubleshoot and service lighting systems
- Work safely on ladders and aerial lifts
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Follow company safety procedures and standards
- Communicate professionally with customers and teammates
- Represent Pest Hunters and Humbug Lighting professionally at all times
