About The Position

Cortex is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join their growing Service team. This role involves providing onsite and remote support for Cintas apparel dispensing machines throughout the Midwest. The technician will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers and service partners, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, assisting with installations, training users, and documenting service activities. This position offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to work in diverse environments such as manufacturing facilities, laboratories, hospitals, and higher education campuses.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Basic understanding of computer operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• The ability to identify problems, think critically, and quickly develop solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail when documenting work
• Basic arithmetic skills
• A valid state-issued driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous field service experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote service for Cintas apparel dispensing machines, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, network verification, and software upgrades.
• Assist with installations throughout the territory, including equipment unloading, reassembly, network verification, and final system checkout.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Cintas partners, service locations, and end customers.
• Provide hands-on training to Cintas MAMs, SSRs, and end users when needed.
• Coordinate service visits with the Field Service Coordinator, Cintas service partners, and customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and expense reports using systems such as Salesforce, MaintainX, and Outlook.
• Deliver professional, responsive, and knowledgeable service to customers.
