As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be part of our Stud Welding team working as a remote employee supporting the Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky area. You’ll get to make field service calls both local and out of state at times with little advance notice and possibility for extended periods of time. This role involves integration support which includes teaching, adjustment, calibration, and diagnosing issues related to the system. You will also be responsible for commissioning of systems at customer locations, which may require extensive walking or standing for periods of time. You are required to attend all kick-off meetings asked by customers and complete the final buy-off of installation using an installation buy-off guide, documenting any open issues and/or exceptions related to the cell equipment. This may require standing on a robot or taking specific measurements very close to the floor. You will assure that all equipment at assigned customer plants operate at maximum target reliability levels (99.998%) or provide written documents to the Technical Field Manager the reasons for the exceptions. You will diagnose and repair equipment to component level using various test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, multi-meter, chart recorder, etc.). You will record service reports and update plant inventory, when necessary, after all visitations utilizing SalesForce.com/ (SFDC FSL) and maintain the plant information database to include equipment performance and customer satisfaction surveys on all related product lines. You are responsible to log all open issues and follow them through to completion. You will assist customers in identifying and ordering spare parts and capital equipment and file accurate expense reports in a timely manner.
