Teledyne FLIR Defense is a leading provider of advanced detection and surveillance systems supporting federal, state, local, and international customers. We are seeking a professional Field Service Technician (FST) to support continued growth and ensure operational readiness of deployed systems. In this role, the FST will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade systems, and provide operational training on advanced detection and surveillance systems. Although the official work location will be in office, the majority of work will be performed at customer sites across the United States, with occasional international travel. The FST is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle support of electro-mechanical and EO/IR systems, including installation, diagnostics, maintenance, repair, upgrades, and documentation across airborne, land, maritime and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) platforms. The FST will serve as the primary customer-facing technical resource and collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve issues and improve system performance. This is primarily a customer-facing field role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, independence, and communication. Work distribution: 40% Electrical, 40% Mechanical, 10% Software, and 10% Hardware.
