Field Service Technician - Travel Required

About The Position

This is an independent contractor position for a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for the trim out of modular and double wide homes. Travel is required within North Carolina and South Carolina. All building materials will be provided. The technician will also be responsible for performing electric and water tests on homes, following a provided checklist, discussing assignments with homeowners and Cavco, and conducting a customer walk-through and follow-up call with Cavco upon completion of service work.

Requirements

• Must have a service box truck or enclosed trailer capable of hauling 16ft material.
• Must possess own tools for performing service, including a generator.
• Must have a driver's license.
• Must have auto insurance in your name or company name.
• Must carry a $1 million liability insurance policy with Cavco listed on the policy.
• Experience in trim/molding is a must.
• Drywall knowledge is a must.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the trim out of modular and double wide homes.
• Perform electric and water tests on homes.
• Follow a provided checklist for service work.
• Discuss assignments with homeowners and Cavco.
• Conduct a walk-through with the customer upon completion of service work.
• Make a follow-up call with Cavco after service completion.
