Field Service Technician
About The Position
General Parts is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in schools, healthcare facilities and restaurants throughout your area. This role offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle dispatched from home, ongoing training, and a comprehensive benefits package. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC systems. This position also involves ordering and installing replacement parts and participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets our safety standards
- Completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
- Strong mechanical aptitude & ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred
- EPA certification (for refrigeration techs)
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
- Provide service solutions for gas, electric, and steam systems
- Order and install replacement parts
- Participate in after-hours & weekend on-call rotations
