About The Position

We are recruiting a Field Service Technician for one of our clients, an international high-technology industrial company specialized in advanced detection and protection systems, serving strategic and mission-critical environments. Based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, you will support the company’s growing installed base across North America, ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance and deployment of technical equipment in the field.

Requirements

  • Technical background (electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, mechatronics or similar).
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in a hands-on role such as Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or Technical Support.
  • Comfortable working directly on equipment, performing maintenance and troubleshooting issues independently.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and support users.
  • Reliable, proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt to different environments.
  • Enjoy working in a small team environment while collaborating with international teams.
  • Fluent English.

Nice To Haves

  • French language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, maintenance and performance of equipment across North America.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out on-site interventions to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the installed base through repair, calibration and technical follow-up.
  • Contribute to the installation and commissioning of systems, ensuring proper setup and performance.
  • Provide basic technical support and training to end users.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers in the field, ensuring responsiveness and quality of service.
  • Work closely with teams in France, sharing field feedback and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on work at the Fredericksburg site.
  • Some travel across North America.
  • Initial training period in France is planned.
