Tristar JCB - Mobile Technician
About The Position
TriStar JCB currently has an opening for a Field Service Technician to support our machine service coverage. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, aerial equipment, generators, and other equipment for construction, industrial, agricultural and government applications. Always providing the best customer service possible, this role is external facing while focusing on customer uptime through utilizing the broad range of resources provided by TriStar JCB as an authorized dealer.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years with heavy equipment maintenance
- Ability to effectively and safely use mechanical tools and equipment
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of heavy machinery, truck or diesel engine industries.
- Strong computer skills to perform diagnostics, complete and submit reports, etc.
- Ability to travel.
Nice To Haves
- Diesel/Technician Certificate preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive to and from customer jobsites or facilities on a company service truck, to perform services in the field.
- Complete and turn in reports that capture all time and work completed, with clear notes.
- Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventive maintenance for customer and company machines.
- Ability to collaborate with other technicians on complicated jobs and when required.
- Ability to mentor, teach and advise other technicians.
- Complete in shop or on-site system audits and evaluations on machines.
- Assist with customer product training, field days, and other promotional events as needed.
- Review work orders for completeness and accuracy, for Service Manager to be able to close and process billing.
- Keep Service Department tools, equipment and company vehicles in working and safe conditions.
- Practice and adhere to all safety policies and training.
- Maintain a clean and professional image according to JCB and TriStar JCB standards.
- Conduct business in alignment with company’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
