About The Position

The Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Part Time Field Service Technician in the Rochester, NY area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory consists of 20+ kiosks and the number of hours per week is around 25. This role pays $24-25 an hour based on experience. A car allowance will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
  • Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
  • Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement)
  • Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)

Nice To Haves

  • Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance
  • Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile

Responsibilities

  • Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
  • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
  • New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
  • Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
  • Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
  • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.
  • Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.
