About The Position

The Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Part Time Field Service Technician in the Rochester, NY area. This role involves training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks, as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory consists of 20+ kiosks, and the number of hours per week is around 25. This role pays $24-25 an hour based on experience. A car allowance will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles. Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”.
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
  • Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement)
  • Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)

Nice To Haves

  • Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance
  • Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile

Responsibilities

  • Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
  • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
  • New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
  • Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
  • Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
  • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.
  • Participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.
