About The Position

CONES Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to expand our Service Team. Our service technicians are at the very core of what our company represents. They are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing customer commercial food equipment, providing preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, and responding to emergency service calls on equipment including but not limited to coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, and dish cleaning equipment. The right candidate will be a skilled technician - someone who thrives on independence, values customer relationships, and is excited to grow within market.

Requirements

  • MUST possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. infrequently
  • Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and work in varying indoor and outdoor environments
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, gauges, and meters
  • Strong communication skills (written, typed, and verbal)
  • Comfortable with using tablets, phones, and IT-based service systems
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC/R or commercial equipment service
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities
  • U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on expertise across electrical, gas, steam, and refrigeration equipment
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills
  • Current EPA certification (Universal preferred)
  • CFESA certifications or readiness to pursue them quickly

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of commercial foodservice equipment (fryers, ovens, refrigeration, steamers, beverage systems, and more)
  • Provide preventative maintenance inspections and respond to emergency service calls
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong local relationships with restaurants, schools, and foodservice operations
  • Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
  • Participate in the regular rotation of after-hours and weekend calls
  • Pursue continual skill development, including studying for and passing the 4 CFESA certification exams (Electrical, Gas, Steam, Refrigeration)
  • Order parts and complete required paperwork
  • Maintain service vehicle
